Since 1935
Introduced to the Faverges workshops by Georges Novossiltezff, lacquer has become one of the Maison's technical and aesthetic signatures.
An emblematic savoir-faire of S.T. Dupont, the technique known as popotée plays with material and light. Using a special sponge, the artisan applies irregular touches to the lacquer, creating a painterly effect in which the surface seems to shimmer under the light. Each gesture, both precise and spontaneous, reveals a unique depth.
