The result of an exceptional collaboration between S.T. Dupont, the master of precious objects, Robert Wan, the world reference for Tahitian pearls, and Philippe Tournaire, a jeweler with a unique architectural style, the King of Pearl collection pays majestic homage to the mysteries of the oceans. Inspired by the mythological figure of Poseidon, this work exalts the raw beauty of mother-of-pearl and the perfection of the black pearl. Each piece embodies the union of exceptional savoir-faire and inspiration drawn from marine symbols and Polynesian traditions.
The Sacred Fire of Poseidon
The Ligne 2 lighter from the King of Pearl collection rests on a base of mother-of-pearl and shell, evoking the cradle of the pearl. It is distinguished by an imposing gold crown, a stylized representation of Poseidon, topped with a 15 mm black Tahitian pearl, chosen for its exceptional quality. Maori-inspired tattoo motifs, finely engraved on the gilt bronze attributes, enrich this piece with a profound cultural dimension. More than an instrument of fire, this lighter becomes a totem, a witness to a marine legend.
The fountain pen
This exceptional fountain pen, from the Neo Classique Président model, is crafted in bronze and hand-worked by the artist.
Hand-sculpted, it rises toward a gilded crown topped with a black pearl, jewel of the South Seas. In a poetic touch, a delicately sculpted golden mermaid hides beneath the crown. The mother-of-pearl inlays and Maori engravings tell, like a story etched into the material, the birth of the original pearl to its final luster.
