A Millennia-Old Art
From ancient civilizations to the expert hands of Greek masters serving Rome, the art of sculpting fine stones runs through history as a testament to eternity. Though this age-old tradition, carried by the nobility of quartz and hematite, declined in the 19th century, it is reborn today under the impulse of exceptional artists such as Luis Alberto Quispe. Each work begins by listening to a raw stone, whose cracks and inclusions are not flaws, but the poetic scars of its geological formation. Shaped by time, pressure, and temperature, these imperfections tell a unique story, akin to that of a human life, guaranteeing the soul and authenticity of a purely natural material.
